Like many small towns, Ashland, VA, had to decide whether to let a mega-store in. This one-hour documentary examines the impact of Big Box chain stores on towns, and cities, and on our society as a whole. Arguments for the store (tax revenues, low prices, jobs) and against it (destroys small town character, traffic, low-end jobs) are articulated and hotly debated. |
