As with many northern parks, the most efficient way to travel through Katannilik Park is by river. The river valley is breathtaking and magical. The fragrance of wildflowers in July overwhelms the senses, and the ground literally 'shimmers' with mica crystal deposits. The 2500 square kilometre Soper River drainage system runs across Baffin Island's Meta Incognita Peninsula.
