Skoki was built in the 1930's in Banff's high country, by a group of adventurers who called themselves the Ski Club of the Canadian Rockies. It is a rustic log cabin; the first facility designed to accommodate commercial ski touring. Unaffected by avalanches, neighbouring developments and changes in ownership, Skoki Ski Lodge has remained essentially unchanged from the mid-1930's. It is still accessible only by foot or horseback.
