Torn apart by decades of war, but now finally at peace, no one really knows how the wildlife of Angola has fared. This is an expedition with an uncertain outcome. There are rhino and cheetah, but where and how Saba finds them depends on all her experience and field craft. To help her, Saba seeks out the remote Himba tribes and draws on their memories and knowledge of their wild and harsh environment. And where the desert dunes meet the sea, she takes a boat in search of seals, dolphins and even whales. Everything she finds help to build a picture of how life is returning now that the civil war has ended. |
