For the first time in her life, Dr. Charlotte Uhlenbroek met mountain gorillas in Rwanda as she went in search of apes, our closest natural relatives. She gets flattened by a boisterous 140-kilo young male in a playful show of strength. These are the same group that David Attenborough famously frolicked with more than 20 years ago. Human like behaviour revealed that great apes - gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees and bonobos - have a great deal in common with humans. |
